Nature's "master antioxidant" and an essential nutrient, vitamin E supports overall health and vitality. Research especially links higher vitamin E levels with strengthened immunity and cardiovascular health. GNLD's Vitamin E Plus is more than just alpha-tocopherol: It provides balanced ratios of the entire vitamin E family of tocopherols and tocotrienols as they exist in whole foods. Its water-miscible foundation is pure, cold-pressed wheat germ oil with lecithin, a natural emulsifier.

Details

Delivers entire E family. All eight members of the powerful vitamin E family: all four tocopherols and all four tocotrienols in nature's balanced ratios for more complete protection than just alpha-tocopherol alone.*

100% food-sourced with premium wheat germ oil and soy oil. Pure, cold-pressed and unrefined wheat germ oil, plus a high-potency soybean extract and natural alpha-tocopherol concentrate, provide the ultimate whole-food vitamin E.

Natural, not synthetic. Natural vitamin E has twice the potency of lower-cost, petrochemical-based synthetic forms. Studies show that given the choice between natural or synthetic vitamin E, the body — especially the cardiovascular system and major organs — preferentially takes up natural E!*

High potency. Power-packed formula delivers 275 IU of natural alpha tocopherol, plus 50 mg of beta, gamma and delta tocopherols, and the complete spectrum of natural trace tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta) in every capsule!

Water-miscible technology, exclusively from GNLD, quickly disperses fat-soluble vitamin E nutrients into small, easily-absorbed particles! This unique system includes apple pectin and lecithin to enhance nutrient absorption.*

Bioavailable tocopherols. The whole-food-sourced tocopherols in exclusive Vitamin E Plus exist in the lipid format that's easiest for your body to digest, assimilate and utilize!

Laboratory validated for purity and potency.

FAQ Q. What is the exact amount of each tocopherol and tocotrienol in Vitamin E Plus?

A. Vitamin E Plus contains 275 IUs of d-alpha tocopherols, and 50 mgs of the beta, gamma and delta tocopherols (non-alpha tocopherols), plus alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocotrienols, all in naturally-occurring ratios. GNLD has gone to great lengths to assure that the ratios found in nature are represented in our products. However, the exact amount of each component is considered proprietary information.

Q. The body uses bile salts to emulsify vitamin E. Why would GNLD's water-miscible formula be needed?

A. While it's true that once in the body, vitamin E can be utilized and dispersed by existing mechanisms. However, that does not diminish the viability of the water-miscibility concept. The water-miscibility function of GNLD's Vitamin E Plus enables the absorption of vitamin E to be more efficient and complete. Our water-miscibility feature supports the body's natural absorption mechanism and facilitates greater vitamin E uptake. Water-miscible vitamins enter the colon with greater dispersion throughout the digestive tract. Also, as people age, many are not as efficient at digesting fats, which may further reduce the absorbability of vitamin E, making the water-miscible formula of Vitamin E Plus a big advantage.

Q. Vitamin E Plus isn't the only water-miscible formula on the market. So what other advantages does it have?

A. Although Vitamin E Plus is not the only vitamin E product on the market with a water-miscible feature, ours is unique in that it delivers the complete vitamin E family in conjunction with our water-miscibility. You would find it difficult to locate another company that offers a natural-source vitamin E product that includes all of the tocopherols and all of the tocotrienols in conjunction with a unique water-miscibility system. GNLD prides itself in delivering only the finest nutritional supplements available, and our Vitamin E Plus is just another example of the quality that makes up the GNLD difference.

Q. Is Vitamin E Plus alcohol-free?

A. Yes, Vitamin E Plus is alcohol-free.

Q. Is it okay to take Vitamin E along with blood thinners prescribed by a doctor?

A. Your physician should always be advised of any nutritional supplementation being taken before you or your customers begin to take any prescribed medication; Megadoses of vitamin E have been shown to increase the effects of anticoagulants. It is best to check with the prescribing doctor for specification of any nutritional supplements that might be acceptable while taking a blood thinning medication.

Q. Why doesn't GNLD use wheat germ oil exclusively as the source for vitamin E in Vitamin E Plus?

A. The main ingredient in Vitamin E Plus is pure, unrefined wheat germ oil. However, if we used wheat germ oil alone, we could not achieve as high a level of vitamin E delivery. Therefore, we enrich the oil with a natural vitamin E complex from soybeans. This assures us of the complete vitamin E family of wheat germ oil plus the benefits of high natural vitamin E potency.

Q. Why does Vitamin E Plus provide 916% of the U.S. RDA? Is it safe to take so much vitamin E every day?

A. The U.S. RDA for vitamin E supplementation is solely based upon prevention of deficiency disease. However, we now know that vitamin E also has a strengthening effect upon the immune system and provides a powerful antioxidant function in the body, these factors to date have not been included in the U.S. RDA level for minimum adequate daily vitamin E intake. The potency of Vitamin E Plus addresses these additional health concerns in an effort to achieve an optimal level of this vital nutrient.

Research has shown that very high levels of vitamin E can be ingested every day for very long periods of time without any toxic symptoms. Nevertheless, we recommend that Vitamin E Plus be taken according to label directions.

Q. Will a diabetic person experience any negative effects when supplementing with Vitamin E Plus?

A. Supplementation with Vitamin E Plus will not be harmful to a diabetic. In fact, research has shown that vitamin E provides great benefits to diabetics. A balanced diet, abundant in vitamins, minerals, and other nutritional factors is essential to good health. However, diabetes is a serious medical condition for which, unfortunately, there is no known cure. Treatment requires a very carefully controlled diet, and for some patients, insulin injections. Because of the need for careful dietary control, your diabetic customers should discuss supplementation choices with their physician.

Q. Can people allergic to wheat use Vitamin E Plus?

A. Yes! Wheat allergies are usually an allergy to the portion of wheat protein known as gluten. The wheat germ oil we use contains no wheat gluten. In fact, in the case of grain-based allergies, none of GNLD's products contain the gluten or protein portions of the grain that are commonly associated with allergic reactions.

While it is possible that someone could be allergic to the portion of wheat we do use, it is very unlikely. The important benefits of whole food vitamin E supplementation should make our Vitamin E Plus product at least worth a try by most people with allergic concerns.

Q. Exactly how much apple pectin and lecithin is needed to make the miscibility in Vitamin E Plus work? I'm sensitive to these ingredients.

A. Since our water-miscible system is unique, we cannot disclose the amounts of lecithin and apple pectin contained within our product. But, we can tell you that you would find more lecithin in an egg yolk or a serving of corn than in a single capsule of Vitamin E Plus. With regard to pectin, a single capsule provides less pectin than what you would find in a quarter slice of apple.

Q. Why is GNLD's Vitamin E Plus only 275 IU per capsule when the industry standard seems to be 400 IU?

A. Many manufactures who sell larger capsules often use a synthetic (which may be inferior in bioavailability) variety of vitamin E. Manufacturers are also required to list only the amount of alpha-tocopherol in their vitamin E products. GNLD gives you 275 IU of alpha-tocopherol, plus 50 mg of non-alpha tocopherols and tocotrienols (which include beta-, gamma-, and delta-compounds of each). All of these are derived from a natural, highly bioavailable source. For GNLD to offer 400 IU of alpha-tocopherol along with the additional tocopherols and tocotrienols in a natural form, the capsule would be much too large to swallow. In this case, less actually equals more!
